Learn to Cut This is a must have class for beginner stained glass, mosaics, and hot glass. This class is offered once a month for 1 1/2 hours. You will learn the basics of cutting straight lines, inside and outside curves,and circles. You will also have the opportunity to try all the different types of glass cutting tools and grinders. This is a great refresher for those who have not cut glass in some time. |

Off The Wall No Experience Needed
Great introduction to stained glass! After this beginning you will be ready for more glass art! Off The Wall is a wonderful class for those experienced in stained glass to learn to make quick, fun and fabulous gifts right off the walls of the studio! Bring your own soldering tools or rent studio tools for this class.

Soldering 101 If you have had problems with your soldering looking the way you want it to, then this is the class for you. We will practice soldering techniques and cover all the problems from getting smooth beads, bleed thru, pregnant lines, and fish eyes. |
Intermediate Flat Foil Prerequisite:Beginning Foil 4 Sessions This is a great class for a refresher or to enhance your skills by challenging yourself to do something you have not tried. Learn more to advanced cutting techniques along with the skills needed for working with thick, heavy textured, or rippled glass, and filigree overlays. We will work with rounds, ovals, or patterns that extend outside the edge. If necessary there will be basic pattern modification, incorporating bevels, and wiring the edge of a piece or came bending. As needed, we will include additional soldering techniques to include limited reinforcement techniques. larger flat panels, foil overlays, ovals, and pieces that extend outside the edge of the piece. This class will greatly enhance your skills. We recommend that you work on a piece that is larger than you have done before and that presents challenges you have not yet experienced. |

Realistic Salt Water Fish
Requires: Foil Method
These little colorful fish will be a delight in any room! What a great gift for every man on your gift giving list. This a mixture of stained glass and fused glass. The fan coral is made in the kiln. |

Copper Sculpture Overlay
Requires: Foil Method Using patterns designed for stained glass create beautiful copper sculptures on glass. Be creative with patterns to enhance the art with depth and shadows. Learn about different grinder bits to smooth and round the edges of the glass. This is a full day course that each student leaves with a completed project. |
Charm School
Prerequisite: Soldering ability is helpful but you can learn it in class
You have seen them, everyone is wearing them so why not learn who to make you very own charms using family photos, funky art pictures, religious cards, or what ever image you like. This class will give you all the ins and out on how to make these fabulous charms and necklace pendants. You will make one pendant and up to six bracelet charms in the amount of the class time. Come with your pictures but don't cut them to size. We will do that in class. |

Kaleidoscopes offer a wonderful view! Kids from 8 to 100 love a kaleidoscope! Learn to make them as gifts! Kaleidoscope workshop will be held on two days. You will complete two kaleidoscopes with one stand! |

Intermediate Foil 3-D ( 4 sessions)
Prerequisite: Beginner Foil Method 3 Dimensional pieces can be a lot of fun to create and easy to do when you know the techniques. They always become a point of conversation as those who see them will want to know how you made such a wonderful piece. Projects that can be included in this class are the flying dragon and butterfly (yes the wings actually move as if they are flying through the air), panel lamps, kaleidoscopes, and whirls. If there is another project you want to do and it is not listed just ask. Be prepared to declare which project you will be making at the time you register for class. |

Tissue Boxes (2 Sessions)
Prerequisite: Beginning Foil Every room needs to have a box of tissues. Make a cover to coordinate with your décor. Tissue boxes are wonderful gifts! |
Morton Tapestry (3 sessions)
Prerequisite: Beginning Foil This class was created exclusively by SGC Workbench and featured in Glass Patterns Quarterly. This class will utilize the use of the Morton's Portable Glass Shop and Decorative Soldering while completing a very unique piece which will include bevels, nuggets, and decorative wire. If you have never seen the Morton Portable Glass Shop system in action, you will amazed by what you will be able to accomplish with this tool. Strip cutting for borders, cutting diamonds, squares, triangles--all a breeze and perfect every time with the Morton Portable Glass Shop! Three Piece Angel Mantel Set
Prerequisite: Beginner Foil There will be three different size angels in three techniques to adorn your mantel or table top for everyday or special occasions. One angel is completed in stained glass, one angel is slumped and the remaining angel's dress is stamped and fused. Theses make wonderful gifts. |
Pattern Making
We have been asked many times to offer our expertise on designing custom panels. In this class we will share lots of tips and techniques to make design elements more understandable. When you are finished with the class you will be able to create a design for a specific size, using your own design elements or from other patterns, pictures, or 3-d objects. Prerequisite: Beginning Foil These beautiful jewelry boxes can be in various sizes square or rectangle. Once your learn the basics of these boxes you will be able to create a wide variety of box styles. This is a great way to use decorative soldering and they make wonderful gifts for the graduate, bride, and moms.

Stained Glass - Intermediate Lead Method: Prerequisite: Stained Glass Foil Method Lead method stained glass is the old masters method of creating stained glass. This method is wonderful in larger windows, sidelights, and doors. The look of a geometric piece is enhanced with the lead method. You will be more successful with this method if you have developed your glass cutting skills. You will construct a small panel from patterns we will offer and need to make your selection before class. |

3-D Bluebonnets of Texas
This class combines fusing and stained glass techniques. Learn to make bluebonnets that will not fade as summer comes to Texas. This class was created exclusively by SGC Workbench.

3-D Slumped Flower
This course combines stained glass and slumping. This flat panel is open in the middle creating a stained glass frame featuring the 3-D tulip center stage. This is truly stunning and is a gentle introduction to slumping. Learn to cut a must have class.

Mosaics Table Top
Prerequisite: Learn to Cut Mosaics have been very popular and are a wonderful way to use up your scrap glass from other projects. Once you learn to mosaic, you will be mosaic anything that does not move! Our 19" table is a furniture quality table with metal wrought iron base that is a wonderful addition to any patio or breakfast nook. |
Lotus Mirror Requires: Learn to Cut Ready to create a wonderful piece for your home? A decorative mirror can be used in an entry hall, guest room, guest bath or for art over the mantel. Take this class to create a mirror using either stained glass mirror glass or a regular mirror, your choice. We will assist you in creating the design to fit your decor. |

Liquifusion Liquifusion gives a finished look to any mosaic project, and is an excellent way to finish of the lazy susan or table top. The finish leaves a glossing, smooth surface that is easy to wipe clean. It takes your mosaic pieces to the next level. |

The lazy susan has been an exciting projects that you will surely want to do. It can be done with all nipped glass pieces, found objects, stained glass cut pieces or a combination. Lazy Susans can be enhanced with the addition Liquifusion top. The Liquifusion is an optional finishing class. |

Introduction to Fusing Four sessions Prerequisite: Learn to Cut This course is an introduction to fusing to include learn about care and operation of kilns, co-efficiency of glass, the difference between a tack, contour, full fuse, drape or slump and much much more. During the first session you will program the kiln to achieve the desired effect on your project. You will make ands fire a fun tile using System 96 glasses that can be applied into various garden on household decor items. In the second session the fun begins as you create your own art glass with an introduction to stringers, noodles, and frit. You will incorporate these items into a tile which will be fused for use as a clock. You will learn to drill a hole in the glass for the clock mechanism. During session number three you will manipulate glass by weaving two ways to create fun and functional glass projects in. In in this last session you will learn how to prepare, care for and create Ceramic, Kaiser Lee Board and Stainless Steel molds are the focus of this class. The woven items from the previous class will be slumped and draped to complete the Introduction to Fusing.

The 3 D's - Dimensional Dazzling Dichroic
It is Dazzling, It is Dimensional, And of course it is Dichroic! This exciting experience lets you create a multi dimensional dichroic base giving depth to the jewelry pieces that will be cut from your creation. You will be truly amazed at what you will learn and can do with this technique. During this course you will be using the Taurus 3 Ring Saw and the disc grinder to coldworking your pieces. Kiln Cast Jewelry
Jewelry Mold Making. Learn to fuse in deep molds! Jewelry molds come in square, rounds, ovals, triangles, bars, mini bars, tear drop, Mini circles, mini squares and circles. |
Fused Stringer Bowl This technique will give you a woven fabric look with a fringed edge made out of glass. All supplies are included in the cost of this class. The second class you will have a choice of using one of our slumping molds or custom creating a mold for an additional cost. |
