3-D Mosaic Wind Chime | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Come learn how to mosaic on a 3-D surface while creating a beautiful wind chime. Bring your ideas to class and come ready to learn something new and have some fun.  You will start the process in this class and complete the mosaic process at home.  This technique will be grout-less.  When you return to class we will show you how to embellish and hand your chimes.

Prerequisite:  Preferably previous experience with mosaic on a flat surface

Class Schedule:  June 27, 6 pm and July 11, 6 pm

Supplies:  Students need nippers, adhesive, glass and beads for embellishing your chimes, and 30Lb leader line with crimps.
The Studio will provide instruction and ideas, the glass base, and chime pieces made from wine bottle circles we have previously fired.

This is a two-session class.  The first session we will select the design and begin to apply the mosaic glass to the glass base.
Second session is hanging the pre-flattened bottle rings.

Garden Totem Pole (Intermediate)
This is a creative, unique, and fun way to utilize the eclectic shapes and varieties of glass you have collected over the years of doing stained glass projects.  You could also call this The Memory Stick, every time you look at this piece you will remember the projects associated with the glass utilized here.  To make this project you do not have to cut any glass, you already did this when you created your other master pieces.  Collect the pieces with organic shapes and, using ¼” foil, foil as many pieces as you can cover a roll of foil, tin them with solder and clean.  Bring them to class and you are ready to go.  We will supply a 3ft piece of copper tube.  We will also have several ideas on how to display this project.

Wednesday, July 12
3-D Cactus(Intermediate) July 12, 10:30 am | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
The use of several different textures and shades of green to build your prickles cactus and flowers on a beautiful piece of drift wood will give you a exceptional focal piece.  Students will be give the pattern upon signing up for this class.  The glass must be cut, ground, foiled, and tinned prior to class.  We will only assemble the cactus and flowers during class.

Get The Lead Out Boot Camp (Intermediate): July 15
Traditional Lead construction is the method of the masters.  Lead method is wonderful in larger windows, sidelights, and doors and is a great technique for geometric designs and straight lines.  During this boot camp, you will construct an elegant window while learning the complete process of working with lead channel (came).  We will discuss the different types of lead came and in the end, you will “play in the mud” during the glazing process.  Students need to have all glass cut, ground, and ready to assemble prior to class.
Bring a lunch or we we will order from a close by restaurant.
 
Prerequisite:  Tiffany Foil Method.  Some supplies needed.

You have loved this and now you can make one.  We will all be using the same colors but each one will be unique depending on how you stack your colors.  After you learn this technique size is no limit.  No experience necessary.

Garden Mushrooms | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
These quick and easy mushrooms will look cute in any garden.  You will create 2 pieces using one opal glass with clear and one cathedral glass with clear.  Both mushrooms will be decorated as you choose.  We will provide some dichroic glass pieces for one mushroom.  Additional mushrooms may be made for $15.00 each, payable during class time.

Panel Lamps (Intermediate): July 26, August 9 16, | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Panels Lamps are a great piece to create, and you may have to make several when your family and friends see how beautiful these lamps are when they illuminate a room.  Let us show you the tips and tricks to making this construction easy and durable to last many generations. Prior to the first class you need to select your pattern and glass.

Prerequisite:  Foil Method

Students need to purchase:  Pattern book, 1/4” Foil, 50/50 and 60/40 solder, 6” layout blocks, Wedges, 6, 8, or 10” terra cotta pot, 18Ga wire, vent cap, lamp base

Soldering 101, July 27, 6 pm | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Do you always look at your soldering and think why doesn't mine look like the professionals?  Do you get bleed thru on your solder seams and don't know how to stop that from happening?  Do you get volcanoes/fish eyes and want to know how to easily close them up?  These are some of the issues we address in this class along with proper use of your equipment. Bring you soldering equipment, solder and flux

Mosaic Antique Window, July 27 and August 3, & 10 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
This groutless versatile antique window that can be viewed nicely from both sides serves many purposes, such as, an art piece for any home or office, an opening between two rooms, a family name plate by your front door, a patio partition that will help block any unsightly view and enhance your patio ambiance, or any other way you may choose to use this creative piece.  We have a few widows available in the store for $15.00 or you may bring your own.   Any window, sectioned or one piece, will work well for this project.  Upon registration, we will explain how to prep your window.  Bring your design ideas to class and be ready to have some fun.

Prerequisite:  None
Class fee includes: one free kiln firing and 2 lbs. scrap glass for use in class
Supplies that need to be purchased: Window, Mac Glue and other glass

Beginner Tiffany Foil Method, August 1, 8, 15, 22, | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Learn the Tiffany Foil method of creating stained glass while making your own beautiful glass window. During this comprehensive six week class you will learn the ins and outs of the copper foil method starting with how to cut glass and continuing with pattern preparation and soldering, to completion of your first beautiful stained glass "masterpiece". This class is also a perfect refresher course.
You must come in before the first class date to select your pattern and glass.
Some supplies needed, about $75.00 not including your glass.
There is a $35.00 fee for the use of the chemicals and the cutting and soldering equipment.
