In this two-day workshop, you will create a 6”x6” double-sided fused glass mosaic with lots of depth and dimension. This class combines the techniques of mosaics with fused glass by layering and stacking the glass to produce a unique work of art. Students will be provided with a variety of patterns to choose from and shown several ways to cut glass into small tesserae or glass tiles. We will cover design considerations, the andamento or visual flow and placement of the tesserae to complement your design. This is a great class for the mosaic artist or glass fuser to take it to the next level by combining the techniques of both art forms.
