The use of several different textures and shades of green to build your prickles cactus and flowers on a beautiful piece of drift wood will give you a exceptional focal piece. 

Students will be give the pattern upon signing up for this class.  

The glass must be cut, ground, foiled, and tinned prior to class.  We will only assemble the cactus and flowers during class.

Pick your theme, pick your colors and enjoy creating a lantern to be illuminated with a candle or battery-operated LED lights. 
We will provide the lanterns, the base glass, stringers, noodles, vitrograph, frit, balls and some inspiration.

Kaleidoscope Workshop #1, (Intermediate) | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
I have always loved the magic of looking through a kaleidoscope, it is so fascinating to see the changes in color and design!  They are easy to make if you know a few tricks to ensure your success.  Join us for this two-session workshop and make a kaleidoscope where the image is created within a chamber covered with a faceted jewel adding even more to the amazing reflection. 

Prerequisite: Tiffany Foil Method.  Some supplies needed.

3-D Mosaic Wind Chime: Friday, April 12 10:30 | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Come learn how to mosaic on a 3-D surface while creating a beautiful wind chime. Bring your ideas to class and come ready to learn something new and have some fun.  You will start the process in this class and complete the mosaic process at home.  This technique will be grout-less.  When you return to class we will show you how to embellish and hand your chimes.

Prerequisite:  Preferably previous experience with mosaic on a flat surface

Supplies:  Students need nippers, adhesive, glass and beads for embellishing your chimes, and 30Lb leader line with crimps.

The Studio will provide instruction and ideas, the glass base, and chime pieces made from wine bottle circles we have previously fired.

 This is a two-session class.  The first session we will select the design and begin to apply the mosaic glass to the glass base.
Second session is hanging the pre-flattened bottle rings.

Morton System: Friday, April 12, 10:30 | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Take the guess work out of cutting the perfect straight cuts, border strips, square, diamond, triangle, or other geometric shapes. Learn to make quick and accurate cuts using the Morton Portable Glass Shop.  This class is great for anyone who has bought or is planning to buy the Portable Glass Shop.  If you have one bring it, if you don’t we will have one for you to use.  You will need a square foot of glass to cut.

Filigree Bevel Cross | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
A cross will be made using bevels and lead. How your cross will look is totally up to you. Student needs to bring their soldering equipment or you may rent it for $5.00. If you rent our tools you will need to purchase solder.

Students will need to purchase their bevels. Lead provided.

Prerequisite:  Soldering skills helpful but not required

Beginner Tiffany Foil Method Boot Camp | 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM
Learn the Tiffany Foil method of creating stained glass while making your own beautiful glass window. During this comprehensive weekend class you will learn the ins and outs of the copper foil method starting with how to cut glass and continuing with pattern preparation and soldering, to completion of your first beautiful stained glass "masterpiece". This class is also a perfect refresher course.

You must come in before the first class date to select your pattern and glass.

Prerequisite:  None

Some supplies needed, about $75.00 not including your glass.

There is a $35.00 fee for the use of the chemicals and the cutting and soldering equipment.

Panels Lamps are a great piece to create, and you may have to make several when your family and friends see how beautiful these lamps are when they illuminate a room.  Let us show you the tips and tricks to making this construction easy and durable to last many generations. Prior to the first class you need to select your pattern and glass.

Prerequisite:  Foil Method

Students need to purchase:  Pattern book, 1/4” Foil, 50/50 and 60/40 solder, 6” layout blocks, Wedges, 6, 8, or 10” terra cotta pot, 18Ga wire, vent cap, lamp base

Tiffany Style Lampshade | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Tiffany is a world renown name in stained glass and the Tiffany Lamp is the gold standard for stained glass lamps.  Create an incredible Tiffany style family heirloom lamp using the Odyssey lamp-making system. 

Making a Tiffany style lamp will be intense but satisfying when you see how its illumination beautifies any room. 

Select your lamp size and style, then come into the studio and we will help you hand pick some amazing glass (like Tiffany would have used) and teach you the techniques necessary to build your beautiful heirloom lamp.  Plan ahead with us as this lamp can be costly but well worth the investment of your time, energy, and expense.

Registration on this class closes on April 19 so we may order your lamp kit in time for the class.

Each student needs to bring to class their cutting, foiling, and soldering equipment.

Prerequisite:  Proficient in the Tiffany Foil Method of construction

Wine Bottle Wind Chime | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
This is the best way to enjoy a bottle of wine twice!  With this wind chime you will learn the tricks of cutting a bottle into rings and breaking them apart. Bring two empty bottles, cleaned of any glue or labels, to class and we will show you how to cut and break the rings apart.  The rings will be left with us to flatten in the kiln.  
We will talk about how we will hang the rings and what will best be suited to hang the rings from.  When you return for the second class you will complete a beautiful unique wind chime. When you hear the sparkling sound, it will remind you of the fun you had creating this chime.
For the second class, students will bring a devise to hang the rings on, 30Lb leader Line, crimps, and beads for embellishments.

Prerequisite: No experience necessary.

Get The Lead Out Boot Camp (Intermediate): May 17 | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Traditional Lead construction is the method of the masters.  Lead method is wonderful in larger windows, sidelights, and doors and is a great technique for geometric designs and straight lines.  During this boot camp, you will construct an elegant window while learning the complete process of working with lead channel (came).  We will discuss the different types of lead came and in the end, you will “play in the mud” during the glazing process.  Students need to have all glass cut, ground, and ready to assemble prior to class.

Bring a lunch or we we will order from a close by restaurant.
Prerequisite:  Tiffany Foil Method.  Some supplies needed.

All About Fusing Boot Camp, Saturday, May 18, 9:0 | 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
This comprehensive course is perfect for you if you have tried fusing and want to go further with your knowledge, want to buy a kiln, or have a kiln but are concerned about using it.  We will discuss different types of kilns and what is right for your specific needs, kiln safety, proper preparation of kilns and shelf, Co-efficiency of glass, levels of fusing results, types of molds and mold preparation, types of shelf paper and their uses, use of kiln logs, how to work with different types of glass, and much more.  Your knowledge will be enhanced with the different projects you make.

Mosaic Decorative Stone | 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Create a beautiful decorative stone you will be proud to display on your front porch, back patio, upright in a flower bed, against a tree, or anywhere else you choose. Using an embedded direct method for mosaic, you will complete an 8” stone.  You may choose two patterns, one of which you will complete in class and the second one may be completed on your on to reinforce what you have learned.

This is a two - day class

Prerequisite: None for most provided patterns, cutting skills necessary for some provided patterns.
Supplies fee: 8” mold to keep $10.00, a 10lb box of cement $15.00, which will be enough to make another stone, use of our scrap glass bin $5.00, and a wooden mosaic tool.

Glass nippers will be provided for in store use only.

Student need to bring:  A roll of paper towels and tweezers

Mixed Media Mosaic | 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Have fun with us as we teach you a new technique for your broken and scrap glass.  We will provide you several patterns to choose from. Once selected, you will paint the background, and apply various types of glass and selected items.  When your composition is complete, you will learn how to apply a resin that will transform your art work with a beautiful brilliance.

We will provide the wood canvas, paint, and 1/2Lb scrap glass.

Supply fee:  You will need to purchase a resin kit, $29.95.

Kids Mosaic, Glass on Glass, | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Starting with a 6” square and a picture of your choosing, each child will mosaic their piece.  The project will be left with us to grout and mount on a wood frame ready to hang in their room. We will provide glass, adhesive, and a wood frame. 

Guardian must be present for students under 14.  This class is intended for ages 6-16.

Pattern Making (Intermediate) | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
We have been asked many times to offer our expertise on designing custom panels.  In this class, we will share lots of tips and techniques to make design elements more understandable.  When you are finished with the class you will be able to create a design for a specific size, using your own design elements or from other patterns, or pictures while using a variety of proper reinforcement techniques. 
Our customers always tell us this class was well worth taking. “I learned so much from this class.  There was more to this than I expected and you made the process so easy.”
In this class, done in three consecutive days,  we will only create the design.  Be prepared to come to class with an opening size and a general idea of what you might want as your focal.

Please bring to class:  Size of opening, Mechanical Pencil, Art Gum or Pink Pearl eraser, and a magazine

Layers in Glass | 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
A favorite technique working on several plains while letting the glass speak for its self when displayed on a wall.  Yes, this piece is design to hang on a wall without any back light.  This stacking process allows you to use that gorgeous glass that doesn’t need any light transmission to make it beautiful.  We will examine the structural aspect to ensure a quality product.

Prerequisite:  Tiffany Foil Method

Students need to bring their cutting and soldering equipment, and foil.  If you have sliced agates, or anything else you might want to include into your piece, bring it and we will see if it works
